    I keep buying the Houston Astros to win the World Series...

    I'm not exactly sure why, I think it's a sickness at this point.

    Anyway, I keep putting some money on this every night it seems. The average odds are about +3300, which is pretty good considering they were +1000 to start the season.

    They're in last place, but the season is young. Hopefully they can give me a sweat come September.

    The bullpen is killing the Astros. They have the offensive talent but the bullpen keeps getting them losses. That said offensively, the latter part of their lineup is real shaky. On top of all that, their ace Kuechel has been awful this year. Alot of big ifs but if the bullpen can start getting outs and their ace can get his stuff back, they should contend in weak AL West race.

    It's not necessarily about winning the World Series.

    It's about buying a stock on the downside, and hoping to capitalize on it. All they have to do is make the playoffs and I'll make some money.

    This team is a mess right now, but as Pork Chop said watch for them to take off in the next few days. I'll be buying more of them tonight if their odds continue to move down.

    And you're right, Dane, that trade hasn't exactly panned out.

    I wanted to buy more this morning, but got busy.

    Hopefully they'll put the same line up after the games are over, it was up to +3500.

    I'll probably have a total of around $300 on this. Should get me back a little more than $10,000. I don't see how it loses.

    I've got about $200 on them, with average odds at about +3500. I've officially stopped buying them.

    I'm looking for a new team.

    Cardinals, Pirates, Indians all possibilities. Maybe even Tampa Bay. If Archer ever got right, they might be worth a flyer.
