do you have any numbers to back up your grienke/lincecum fade strategy? sounds like a good idea, i just have trouble accepting ideas without any numbers to back it up.

I am not sure what numbers you want. They won the Cy Young for last year. Contraran selections are mostly a philosophy, not a statistical mathematical equation. I hope this is helpful.

oh, now I get what you're saying. I was just confused with Grienke because although he did win the Cy Young (which the public would love), he is still a Royal (which the public hates). I don't think you can find contrarian selections for him because these two facts cancel out the edge for one side. Just my opinion. In fact to be honest, I was kind of thinking about backing Grienke in contrarian logic because he's still just a Royal.

I hear Mr. Rainman. They will pound Grienke, be rest assured. I happen to like the Greinke better than the Lincecum. However over the three games each for them, I am confident in postive units, postive cash flow. Let's see how the numbers play itself out. We both can be right, I am not saying both go 0-3 to start the season.

Happy to see you in the thread. Come again. See you in the tower.

haha can't wait to see how this plays out. I personally think that Grienke is that good and won't have the slump that everyone is expecting. We'll see. Best of luck to ya

We are not hoping for a slump... just a lose in the first 3 starts ..... Reigning Cy-Young Winners will have a ridiculous line ... it's understandable too because obviously they are good, but also vegas knows the public will POUND them .. this will drive the line up and then you calmy take the underdog for a profitable payout ... I like it ... Will just have to see who they are playing but for the most part those 2 teams have weak offenses and even if they pitch good they might lose ....

Let me know if you have any other ideas P5s...

Timmy on the road vs HOU, that's yummy. Lincecum on the -165 nibble line. What are your thoughts?

I know Lincy is Lincy .. but Houston loves their baseball they are usually pumped right at the start before they are out of it right away ... I'm liking fading that spread and going with Houston ...

    I'm liking this contrarian ...

let me know any other angles you go for...

Ok we're not that far off in our estimations

Remember though, this is not Roy Oswalt from 2005. He is not the pitcher he once was and Timmy is the most dominant pitcher in the NL (although Roy Halladay will change things in 2010 now that he's with Philly).

    Over/Under Lincecum 155

For those in the discussion regarding the Lincy line as discussed by PIMIKE, TheLock, and yours truly, will PIMIKE book 75 SBR points on a wager.

I will take Over 154.5 (the opening line posted on 5Dimes).

Are you in Mike? A friendly what the hay.

Let me know. Perhaps others want action.

Almost equally intriguing is Grienke opening up at home vs DET

I smell another -165 line on this one.
