David Price should not be resigned next year

The reports are he will be asking for somewhere around 30 mill a year..200 mill over 5 or six seasons...not a chance. 0 for 8 in playoff appearances...Never seen anything like it. This guy is the ACE of the staff and he has been out pitched by a semi rookie in Stroman coming off an torn ACL, the number 3 starter in Estrada as well as a solid ALDS performance by a 40 year Dickie who was yanked prematurely in favor of him just so he would not be available for game 5...

Price will do well in the national league where batters cannot hit anything beside a fastball...but in the clutch where it counts guys like him and Cueto are being exposed for the frauds they are...no doubt about it..he has almost single handley cost his team a shot at a world series with how terrible he is in the clutch...

Why was Toronto such a big favorite on the road with a guy that is like 0-8 in the post-season?

I haven't a clue...Even local sports talk radio up here in Toronto were acting like Price was the right guy to be starting to today...yes it was his turn in the rotation to pitch...but anybody who saw his press conference 2 days ago would not argue in their right minds that he was the "right guy" to pitch todays game..the guy was clearly rattled and uncomfortable with his new "role"

Its not about career stats and pedigree....this guy has melted in every post season game he has pitched....Thank God Jays Brass usually never pay those kinds of contracts and will likely let him walk the minute the season ends....he's finished in Toronto

Rogers Brass usually do not spend that kind of money ( 30 mill a year) on anyone...especially a 30 year old pitcher with an abysmal record in the playoffs...so Price is likely only a rental...He will end up in LA..and Grieke will end up in NY...

Jays are done. Gibbons takes out Price when he is pitching lights out. Rogers cable will fire him in 2 days mark my words.

How bout Scrubbies? Pitch in NL and reunion with Madden? They could use another ace with Lester a bit iffy at times , and who knows about Arrietta? Was this a one year of magic or has he really reached this level of dominance? If Price leaves Blow J's the Cubbos make perfect sense
