    Cubs and St Lou

The Central has the 3 best teams, so being #1 for StLouis isn't such a big deal.

    Pitt is now gone!

Cubs look good, but no Jake for as much as Chi would have liked.

    That is HUGE!
    Wild card team????....I'll take StLou

I'm out threw KC in 3t par tonight (1st mlb wager in month probably). Just feel lost right now I've been more tuned into football which is complete opposite of last year when I felt good and rode mlb into mid Oct while putting football on backburner. Just odd postseason really and new "script" with all young blood like Stros, Cubs, Muts getting in and forever underachieving Blow J's. Think it's gonna be exciting postseason but not getting my $$ at stake. Bol MH

Cubs sweep, they appear to have the pitching edge in every game.

At pitches outside of the zone? Normally it's better to take those balls.

Did you see the Toronto game? Nobody knew what to swing at on both teams. The umpire was the worst I have seen in weeks. Revere took one around his shoulders, guy calls it a strike. Both teams were complaining. It was horrible. Guy should be the umpire in the outfield. LOL. Still, not the reason Toronto lost, they just sucked, trying to hit the long ball on every at bat.

Do umpires choke in the playoffs?

It was a legit question. What do you think? Are they worse in postseason, or is it just magnified?

Pretty simple.....2 strikes you gotta protect against anything close. Swing the fukkin bat or grab some bench.

Actually, I agree with meader 99, with two strikes you can't just stand there and get called out. You can't hit if you don't swing. Umpires, I think they try to play it to close to the vest, and miss a lot of calls. Some of these pitches way out of the zone are just ridiculous. But, going back to the Toronto game, both teams knew the umpire was wild by the second time around, so, just as much their fault for standing there. Yes, there are some bad umpires, and yes they choke in the big games that are magnified.
