Jered Weaver has pitched well overall lately, but he still has a high 5,40 ERA on the road and the Tigers offense has scored 4.9 rpg in their last 10 games.
The Angels offense has struggled recently, but they should break out some tonight vs Alfredo Simon, who has a 6.21 ERA in his last 10 starts. He did just throw a shutout at the Rangers, but threw 116 pitches in that game and i his last 6 starts this year after tossing at least 109 pitches in a game he has a 6.05 ERA. He will not last much past the 6th here and that brings a terrible Tigers pen into play.
Early and late runs in this one.
Take the Over 8.5 in this one.
NY Mets at Philadelphia
Really hard to ignore what the Mets are doing right now on offense as they have scored an amazing 49 runs in their last 4 games. Yes 3 of those were at Coors, but they put up 16 last night in Philadelphia, which is considered a hitters park. Not as much as Coors, but this is a hitters park and a park that seems well suited for this upgraded Mets offense that is just on fire right now.
The Phils offense has been no slouch recently as they have scored 7 runs in 4 of their last 6 games, averaging 5.7 rpg over that stretch and they have put up 6.2 rpg in their last 11 at home.
Ok the offenses are hot, but what about the Pitching. Well Syndergaard comes in with a 5.05 ERA on the road this year and Williams has a 6.10 ERA overall and a 4.19 ERA at home, plus a 5.72 ERA in 2 starts vs the Mets this year and he just allowed 8 ERs in just 1.2 innings to a weak hitting Miami team in his last starts.
Really hard not to see 10 or more scored in this one.
