Not just that, every fantasy baseball writer that's worth their weight in salt was shouting "Pirate stack, Pirate stack" from the roof tops.

Gerrit Cole ($10,600), Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Arizona Diamondbacks:Cole is the clear No. 1 pitcher today and a must-play in all cash games. The D-backs take an enormous park hit going from Chase Field to PNC Park, and it’s really as simple as that. The only other two aces pitching today, Sonny Gray andCole Hamels, have poor matchups and are completely unusable outside of GPPs. (You could make the case for Danny Salazar or Michael Wacha as “aces,” but I don’t consider them to be, and I’m not big on Salazar’s matchup.)

    • Cynthia Frelund, Daily Fantasy

My algorithms reveal players best suited for cash games, meaning that their projected production or fantasy point per cap dollar returns are optimized to minimize risk. These picks are best for games where winning requires less differentiation from the field of DFS players.
    1. (SP) The Pittsburgh Pirates’ Gerrit Cole
    DK: $10,600
    FD: $10,200
This is the cash play of the night both because of Cole’s abilities and the possibility for him to excel based on the matchup. The Diamondbacks see a downgrade in park factors going from Chase Field to PNC and their K-rate is 20.6 (a top 10 in baseball). Cole’s K-rate since the beginning of 2014 is 24.5 percent. Done deal.

    Stack Em Up
Stacks below are based on most likely lineups. Be sure to check the MLB Lineups feed from any DraftKings draft screen throughout the afternoon to make sure players are in the lineup.
Pittsburgh Pirates vs Jeremy Hellickson, Arizona Diamondbacks – Fresh off of a sweep of the NL East leading New York Mets, the Pirates will look to keep things rolling tonight in Pittsburgh. Jeremy Hellickson enters tonight’s game sporting a subpar 4.73 ERA and 1.35 WHIPon the season and has already allowed five or more earned runs in five different starts this season. He’s been abysmal on the road (6.09 ERA) and, considering his struggles with left-handed hitting, you can target Neil Walker, Gregory Polanco and Pedro Alvarez along with Jung Ho Kang, Andrew McCutchen and Starling Marte.

And on and on and on

funny how posters at SBR get so excited when someone post a loser pounding their chest like they knew it was going to lose the whole time but of course they didn't say shit before the game started.

and on the other hand when somebody post a winner nobody says a word. I guess that is the world we live in today. Sad... very sad..

Only team worth a big wager at those kind of odds are Cardinals at home.

Tough loss but you learn from mistakes in this game. Level stakes is the way to play.

    exactly.

On paper they did look great. Sometimes things don't work out on the field the way they do on paper. It doesn't mean that it was necessarily a "bad play" it just means that baseball is a game that anybody can win on any given day or night.

I think baseball is less predictable in this sense than NFL and NBA.

btw just a random comment but i am extremely impressed with that dude with the last name Lamb on the Diamondbacks. That guy is a freakin stud!

Not just Lamb, Snakes are stacked with young talent.
    Peralta, Goldy, Tomas, Pollock, Inciarte.....
All of them hit on or about .300 or over, except Lamb, but Lamb has mad glove skills
