The number beside the team listed is a rating for today's games only, that number is merely a rating in that particular game, with the listed pitchers at the current line. Good luck with your plays today, I posted a nice loser last night, I'll see if I can post a few winners today.

I can't lay that number with the Cards but will use the -1 line.

However a negative number beside the team would indicate a no play. I would not take the other side. Example Houston tonight, I have them selected to win, however would not play them, line is much too high.

The line is high but if very reasonable . And they have their ace pitching tonight , always extra motivation when the ace pitches . Houston Is a safe play. Don't expect hellickson to shut down houston tonight.

As for Houston, I could not play them over -150 today, for me the Value turns negative at that point. In fact I'd have to get them around -130 to make them a play.

EV. Because what I use has Houston winning. Much the same with the dodgers today. I had them on the board as winning but both lines were too high. I had both the Astros and Dodgers today, rated at 60%. Means I think they will win this particular game 60% of the time. This would equal a fair line of -150 in both those games. I suppose true value players, high volume ones at that would have taken both dogs. Myself, I can't play the dog when I think the fave will win.

Never said that I was a bigtime bookie. I'm in business with a few guys that are. I've been on that side of the counter in the past. I am not involved with the day to day booking. I do still have an interest in that side however. I'm more of a programmer these days.
