It's not a fluke if it happens twice in a row.No hits were errors. St Louis got lucky on Pitt error in the 9th. So can't say who had right side.

I understand your sentiment is understandable but the right side is always the side that wins. The final result is all that counts.

It's one flukey game after the next on my tickets. It's just that time of year. I'd take the same bet over again in a heartbeat.

The right side may be the side that wins, but the correct bet isn't always the one that wins.

dont know if it was that pitcher was just throwing batting practice or what but i got the feeling it was a loss after that first hit in the bottom of the 9th. you could just feel they were going to give it up. the worst.

for people that think it wasn't luck, the spread was -1400 st louis vs +600 pitt before the bottom of the 10th.

so yeah, keep thinking pitt was the right side.

Not taking Rosenthal out makes me question the cards coaching. Anyone watching ESPN last night could see he wasn't getting out of this one even after he got the two outs.

Rosenthal made good pitches, the bucs just did a good job of hittig them where they weren't

those balls werent especially hard hit, they were mostly oppo grounballs and loopers

    it happens

if matheny actually cared about the game he would've taken him out. no way a guy that gives up 3 runs to lose a game is making good pitches. one or two batters i can understand but basically the whole lineup hitting him? he didn't have his stuff.

cards were 42-0 in games they were leading in after the 7th entering these last two games with the bucs

the cards have a pretty good close and late system that has worked exceedingly well

you don't change everything just because of a small blip

did the cards even have anyone left? they used 5 relievers before getting to rosenthal

do they carry 6 or 7 in the pen?

you can try to convince me it was the right move but it wasn't. his last two outings were shaky vs pitt. do you think if the game really mattered matheny would leave him in there? especially when pitt is subbing in a lefty?

so are you telling me if rosenthal finished 10th and the score was tied, the cards would just forfeit the game due to not having any pitchers?

if the game really mattered you don't think wacha, matinez, or lynn would've subbed in? is it that hard for you to admit that this game didn't mean much to matheny?

so answer my question, who would come in and pitch in the 11th or 12th or even the 13th? since st louis had no one to pitch they would forfeit right? gtoh.

oh yeah no doubt this game didn't mean enough to risk messing a starter's arm up

again that is the reason he didn't take trevor out. that was you original question and you got your answer now

no doubt this game meant more to you than Matheny

    sorry you lost your bet

We still had Greenwood and socolovich in the pen besides wacha Lyons and Lynn (lackey woulda been the only one unavailable).

These last 2 games took my whole bankroll on acr. $636 on a +155 dog to lose like that really hurts. I'm a die hard Redbird fan too...I have too much heart unfortunately
