    Steve Delabar

Given the rapid movement on the over late before the first pitch, I found his performance today interesting to say the least. It went from 5-1 to 8-1 in a HURRY with this guy walking and wild pitching in runs in the bottom of the 8th. Kind of stuff you think about as a gambler, when most people would just chalk it up to a shitty appearance by a relief pitcher. He looked like he was pitching blindfolded.

    Coincidence?

Steve Delabar pitching for Toronto TOR DET
    Delabar relieved Tepera. 1 5
    Castellanos walked. 1 5
Iglesias ran for Castellanos. 1 5
McCann struck out looking. 1 5
    J. Wilson hit by pitch, Iglesias to second. 1 5
Gose safe at first on error by first baseman Colabello, Iglesias to third, J. Wilson to second. 1 5
Iglesias scored, J. Wilson to third, Gose to second on wild pitch by Delabar. 1 6
Kinsler singled to left, J. Wilson and Gose scored. 1 8
Céspedes singled to left center, Kinsler to second. 1 8
    Cecil relieved Delabar. 1 8

No, he's just bad like the whole Toronto stuff, they put runs on the board almost every game late, what's the problem here???

He's been dominant this year until the last two performances.

If you watched this game (vs. looking at the play-by-play on a computer), you'd know exactly what I'm talking about.

Delabar had given up 3 runs total from the start of May through the end of June -- a span of 21 appearances.

He gave up 3 runs with quickness today alone.

    Were you watching the game?

For the record, the only bet I had was the Toronto TT under. I couldn't care less if Delabar had given up 20 runs that inning.

Do you believe John Gibbons was involved, or did Vegas get to Delabar as he was walking in from the bullpen?

Did you read the article on Cosart recently? It's not like purposely giving up a few runs in a blowout game is that far fetched.

It was the way he pitched today.

Again, not something you could see through a play-by-play chart on your computer.

I'm familiar with the Cosart story. In theory, the idea of a pitcher intentionally throwing BP is not far fetched, but it was never a guarantee that Delabar would even pitch in today's game.

It was a very strange performance to say the least, given the game was already over, the score was 5-1, and he just happened to give up 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th in a matter of about 2 minutes.

He struck out the second batter he faced!!!

Then he hits a dude with a pitch and on the next play his teammate makes an error.
