Joe Mauer- the most obvious case of steroid use ever?
He has currently gone 53 straight games (going back to last year) without a HR.
His 2009 season is starting to stick out like a sore thumb. Mauer should thank his lucky stars he is playing in Minnesota. Could you imagine if this putz was in NY or Boston?

Ryan Howard. Actually he just got fat and everyone finally figured out he can't hit a breaking ball and can't hit to left field to save his life. If he could bunt to the third base bag he could actually walk to first every at bat, but big boy can't figure that out.
2008-09 Steroids and HGH and Pro Hormones.... you could get them anywhere. Wouldn't doubt it. People still don't understand that Steroids also make you a better contact hitter.

I have to vote no. But, I am a Twins fan. Some stars don't shine bright for very long. Morneau was a really good Twin until the conscussions then he was never the same. Mauer has had a bunch of injuries. When you watch him - he hits a lot of nice line drives - just not home run distance. I think he hits the way you should hit - go for a nice base hit every time. If he swings for home runs - would his average drop about 50 points?

See, not even close to as drastic as Mauer's.
I don't think people realize just how pathetic Mauer is as a hitter now. Last year he was deplorable and this year he is dreadful. He doesn't even hit .300 anymore, let alone .330. And forget HR's, he can't even hit doubles. He has 2 extra base hits all year. His OBP is 100 points higher than his SLG %.
He was without a doubt on something in 2009.
