TB, Does the DH bat in the Nine spot very often?

Tampa Bays number 9 hitter is the DH?!?!? First time I have seen the DH in the nine spot plus have such a pathetic adverage!!!! I guess it makes sence that a .145 hitter would be in the nine spot BUT hes the DH!!!! Can they let the pitcher bat?

very strange...TB offense has been non-existant lately. Thank God they got an insurance run in the top of the 9th...it was unearned too.

I've seen this happen a little more in recent years actually. Why a team would put a DH in a spot like that does make sense only if you have one hell of a lead-off hitter at the top of your lineup. The double bubble production theory does come into play with that type of move.
