Sorry for posting these last few plays after they started. I just needed time to consolidate some of the new plays to the existing plays on the "updated" card. Can't honestly say I'd be surprised if I go 2-20 today.This may turn out to be my worst day ever in MLB handicapping, and I've been at this for almost 10 years. It's still early, and I know for a fact I can turn it around quick. But these are the kind of days that you just wish you were dead. No doubt about it.

Side note: I'm trying to trade Carlos Gomez (MIL OF - 15 day DL) for a top tier SP in my fantasy baseball league. He'll be back with the damn team anyday now and quite frankly if I can just get one more Ace-type SP in my rotation I know I can win the championship again this year. Just for poops and giggles I offered the guy I'm playing against this week for King Felix. Of course it was denied. Who is the best SP you guys think Carlos Gomez would be a fair trade for?

Today, I took a huge gamble. I normally keep my plays anywhere between .5u-2u. What I did was stupid and desperate. It worked out in my favor this time, but I'll be the first to tell you that it usually doesn't.

So I'm going to make crazy illogical plays from time to time.. just because the degenerate in me takes over. I'm not a professional capper, so it's not like I'm hurting anyone except myself. I'm just a mark like the rest of us.

On another note - there seems to be confusion over what a "unit" or "u" is. I was taught early that a unit is 1% of your bankroll. I've heard other people say that 1 unit can be between 1-5% of your bankroll. The 1%/1u thing has just always made more sense to me. With my bankroll, for me 1u = $50. I'm not a super high stakes kind of guy like it seems a lot of you are in this forum. I manage to make the most with what I have to work with.

Other people interpret the definition of "the unit" differently. And that is perfectly fine. ANY money management is better than NO money management. In the end, if you don't manage your bankroll, you'll never make it to the All Star break.

I'm just trying to say that I don't consider myself a guru with MLB capping, but it's by far been my most profitable sport over the last 9 seasons. Of those 9 seasons, only 2 were not profitable for me.

It is my hope that guys I frequently go to for advice can all meet together once in awhile in this thread. Just spreading knowledge. Helping each other win more money. 8 heads (or whoever else would like to get in on the discussion) are better than just 1. We could all learn a thing or two from every single person I listed.
