    I think sneezing is the number 3 cause of back injuries in the world.

    Sounds dumb, but I remember hearing it back when Sammy Sosa did the same thing.

    This is actually a more common injury for baseball players than you think.

    The area was probably already slightly tense... and partial dehydration... any sudden movement could pull/inflame the area.

    Just like a batter taking a few practice cuts.... if you aren't loose... it's easily pulled.
