How disappointing will the Tigers be this season?

Victor Martinez & Miggy already banged up. Several other hitters in that lineup with injury prone histories. Lost Scherzer & the rotation is weak after Price & Sanchez, plus the bullpen sucks.

If anybody can afford to lose a super star caliber hitter its the Tigers.

Have you guys seen that line-up?

Only weak spot is Gose and the shortstop.

This injury allows Miggy to move to DH and the Tigers will likely trade for Ryan Howard.

IMO this injry adds value to the Tigers if u can find them in the 20 to 1 range

the AL Central is without a doubt the weakest division in baseball. The Tigers will cruise to the playoffs but likely get knocked off by the Mariners when they run into king felix and Iwakuma

Just announced that Victor Martinez will probably be ready, come opening day. Knee surgery went well.

that is both good and bad news.

Good news for the Tigers and Victor.

Bad news for guys wanting to make a futures bet on the Tigers at 20 to 1

It's amazing how Detroit changed from Hockeytown to Tigertown. Sure there are still hockey fans around... but Ilitch built the fan base towards the Tigers. I don't think the fans care one bit if they make the playoffs or not. They are selling tickets like crazy.

People say Ilitch's smartest move was buying the Red Wings? Sure it was... but even more so... the Tigers. If it wasn't for the Tigers... I think Ilitch would be on tilt.

Everything Ilitch touches turns to gold. Most underrated owner of all time in my book.
