1* Giants -113: Riding a hot team and a hot pitcher. Zito has been great his last two starts, allowing only 7 hits and 0 runs over 13 1/3 innings. Doug Davis has a solid 3.27 ERA, but it isn't an accurate indicator of how he has pitched. Opponents are hitting .323 against Davis, and his 1.95 WHIP is dreadful.
1* Rangers +121: Robinson Tejeda has been the Rangers best pitcher thus far, and with Josh Towers going for the Jays, this is a good opportunity for the middle of Texas' lineup to break out of a season-long slump.
1* Braves -110: Jeff Francis has struggled pitching at home this season, and hasn't looked anything like the pitcher who went a combined 16-8 at Coors over the last two seasons. The Rockies offense exploded for 11 runs and 20 hits in Wednesday's win over the Mets, but I think that was only an aberration. Holliday and Helton are the only two regulars who have been producing consistently. I think Atlanta lefty Chuck James bounces back from a tough outing and the Braves offense puts up a big number on Colorado's suspect pitching staff.
