The Phillies are buried for the foreseeable future.

The team is too old, and Ruben Amaro is a moron.

not really. Baseball has no salary cap and the Phillies have endless amounts of money?

why do you think they held onto Cole Hamels and Chase Utely and Ryan Howard? and J-Roll?

Cole Hamels is solid, Cliff Lee will be back. The bullpen is okay. They just need to add 3 quality starters.

Twelve strikeouts through five innings, and a 27 inning scoreless streak right now. Also mets ace harvey thread for the first time today off the mound since going on DL and threw a very encouraging 95MPH. Mets fans have every reason to be optimistic

I'm pretty sure you could say that about any bottom dweller team in baseball and it would turn around their fortune.

DeGrom is a bootleg Tim Lincecum. Except without 2 WS Rings & 2 CY Youngs. Rocking Lincecum's last hair-style.

Timmy's problem is the mechanics though DeGrom's delivery is natural.

He's a slick fielding short stop with a cannon of an arm that couldn't hit a lick, his throws to first base were pellets, so they converted him to pitcher in Summer ball of 2009.
