Vargas had the best road ERA in the majors coming into this game. That is why the line moved down. I got the A's at -167. Good value there.

Public perception seemed to be that losing Yoenis Cespedes all of a sudden made them a shit offensive team, an opinion that I saw on here a few times. This seemed to be confirmed in their shutout yesterday. Probably more public action on this one than normal given that A's have been in the news lately and people think that the A's are a bad team playing way over their heads, despite the fact that the numbers seem to indicate that they're better than even their league-leading record.
