    K.C./ Toronto tonight

Is this a trap game? I know Shields is 6-1 in his last 8 starts, but KC is 10-24 here. Toronto's won 9 straight and is 12-1 last 13. KC's lost 4 straight and is 2-7 last 8. Dickey's given up 3 or less in his last 7 starts, winning 4 out of 5. Yet the Blue Jays are only -120. What's up ?

I feel the same way. Shields use to pitch vs TOR alot when he was in their division. He is 12-6 vs TOR in his career. Maybe he makes it 13-6.

Maybe if the line is -140, bettors would be hammering them.
Seems the last 2 games plenty of others on the opposite side - probably thinking the line is low because there's a good chance Jays go down.
Remember the last few games line also a steal...probably puts doubt into our minds to go get people to bet against them.

Forget streaks guys.....go with the better team, in the better situation. Toronto is confident, KC just got swept by Houston. Why mess with KC tonight?

I think Jays will try to win as they can do, and I think Jays will lose while on the road.
Boston, NYY, keep winning, so Jays cannot afford to lose.

Everyone has been and I missed the boat. Was considering trying to catch the tail end of their run here but every time I do that the wheels fall off the game I decide to play. For your guys' sake I'm staying away GL.

I like the Royals here. Shields gets it done, as RA Dickey is done.

I think so. If Shields can keep them in control like Archer did last night I think the Royals, even with their weak lineup, can score enough to get a win. I really can't believe the Jays are on a streak like this, not with the rotation they have.

I have no faith in RA Prickey, I don't care how many "quality" starts he's thrown lately. It's probably baseball blasphemy to dis' a Cy Young winner, but whenever RA winds up to deliver one of his whiffleballs, I can't help but think oh god, here comes a 400 foot line drive. But miraculously, it hardly ever happens. So maybe tonight . . .

This is the first time they're at Toronto this year, but KC did win 2 out 3 at home a month ago. I even checked last year's results, and the Jays won 2 out of 3 both at home and there. But I'm done thinking on this one, Toronto it is. Best of luck to all...

All right, so I took the bait yesterday and once again got hosed by ninth inning heroics. Do you guys think the Jays will lose again? Is this one of those times when you get a red hot team playing a lesser opponent only to be man handled by them? Vargas has given up 2 or less earned runs his last four, but he did give up 5 runs and 10 hits to these Jays a month ago at home. I'm thinking the Jays again, Boys...

I like KC again tonight. Not as much last night, but enough to play KC for $1. JA Happ has been stellar his last few innings and now comes to an end tonight. HE blows IMO. He was a philly and then an ASTRO and now he is a JAY. After some phenomenal pitching for him his last 3/4 outtings I feel he comes back to his shitty self. KC bullpen ranks #15 vs TOR #29. IF Happ goes 7 and a big IF even then the Jays penn will repeat last nights loss. KC+120
