Does Tanaka Finally go down Tonight?

Tanaka has amazing stuff but when he does give up runs its the been the
home run that has hurt him. At wrigley field you pretty much just need to hit a fly ball fairly decent and the wind is going to take care of the rest.

Hammel has pitched exceptionally well at home if i'm not mistaken...

It makes me nervous to bet on the Cubs b/c well they are the Cubs.. but I think the
Cubs are a live dog tonight and there is a good chance the over 6.5 hits as well.

Depends which way the wind is blowing. But to answer your question, no.

Worst plate discipline of any team I've seen, including Atlanta.

Perhaps since its the Cubs , Tanakas focus won't be as sharp.

I think the same thing happened to Garrett Richards last night. He didn't take the Astros seriously.

I'm just saying Hammel if he is on can keep the Cubs in the ball game and if the wind is blowing out maybe
Castro, Rizzo, or Olt can put one in the seats.. Bonnafacio has been doing a good job as a table setter.

I heard not to bet against him until the second time teams get a crack at him and even then I guess his ability to adjust to hitters is incredible from.what they say. I went against him twice and am 0-2 so shame on me.

Never a good reason to bet against the hottest pitcher in baseball when he's been in top form. Parlay w/ Tanaka, every penetrating start until he's officially cooled, be it injury, fatigue, or batters learning to adjust.

with the way his ball moves i dont think you can ever really adjust. The guy is good.

I think the approach has to be just look for something up in the zone. Anything that starts from the waist down is going going to fall off the table by the time you swing.

he is out in LA man... you dont think he's got people in his ear telling him how good he is?

He obviously didnt prepare the same he normally would for the Astros. Last night it was obvious.

Look the thread title says "does he go down ?"

and i gave a couple reasons it may happen. Mainly bc he does give up a few dingers and the Cubs can certainly hit them at Wrigley if the wind is blowing out.

I have not pulled the trigger yet. I am actually leaning more toward taking Cubs +1.5 at -115
b/c i do think Hammel can keep the Cubs close even if the Yankees do win.

You seriously think starting pitchers in the majors get lax because they facing a team w a poor record? Cmon man, you tainting a thread where you actually made the right play with every1 else buried, nice call but stop it with that goofy shit, mlb pitchers facing other mlb teams dont do what u saying, all pitchers get hit sometimes try giving the stros credit instead of coming up w excuses for the guy..

Wrigley ain't scary to pitch at, if ur the road team all u need is two runs and avg stuff and you will get out with a w.
