Lets bust that Yankee hole a little bigger

Another piece of the Mets future debuts tonight!!!! Montero 23 RHP Throws in the low 90's
but can reach 95. Kid knows the game of baseball and understands how to pitch. Maybe not
the most gifted young Met arm but he has good control. Uses the Fast ball as his pitch next
his change is above avg and he throWS a nice sweeping slider. Team mates nick named him little
Pedro (from the same country) Mets are realizing the free agents they signed are all garbage the
young guns are coming. Only Collins holds us back now he still chooses losers Like Chris Young
    over a younger player.
LETS BEAT THAT YANKEE ASS ONE MORE TIME TONIGHT
    GO LITTLE PEDRO!!!!!!!!!

That Las vegas 51's is probably an exciting team to watch.

Hopefully they call up Synegard soon and move Bartolo to the bullpen.

Montero has been nothing but pounded in the minors... I say he gives up 6 runs in 4 innings. Tanaka remains undefeated.

Ok. Enjoy backing a 3.7ERA in the minors pitcher against the Japanese phenom... I'll gladly take your money.

Montero has allowed three earned runs or less in seven out of eight starts. He is 4-1 with a 3.67 ERA and 1.15 WHIP with 41 strikeouts in 41.2 innings vs. 18 walks.

The 51s field is notoriously one of the most hitter friendly triple a parks. Montero is legitimately MLB ready. I still don't see any value on the Mets because they simply won't hit at this ballpark.

Cashman Park (Las Vegas 51's) is one of the hardest minor league stadiums to pitch in.
Most runs scored out of any stadium, and I think it's by a wide margin.
So you couldn't sound like more of a fool here.

I do like the over tonight though. Lots of runs the last 2 nights, this total is mighty low IMO.
Both bullpens are absolute dogshit and could give up that amount easily tonight between them once the starters are gone.
Tanaka will get figured out soon.
The japs always own it the first couple months in the league, but more and more tape comes out, and teams will start to hit him a little better soon.

Agreed on both points. I was about to post that regarding Las Vegas.

Las Vegas is the least desired AAA franchise for many reasons, one of them being that the stadium skews stats big time. Hitters put up big numbers there, but it's fool's gold.

3.67 ERA for that stadium is pretty good.

But I'm not betting the Mets tonight.

Wow! Color me impressed! I certainly was a "moron" and a "fool"... 70 pitches in he first 3 innings, 2 homers surrendered, whopping 3 Ks in a shutout loss? This kid is a stud! Rank this debut up there with the likes of Strasburg for sure!

Thanks for your money, kids. I loathe all NY teams but can still admit that Tanaka is a stud. Montero, a dud.

    Agree...

And for the record, I'm more than happy to discuss sports picks. But when people can't handle opinions and resort to childish name calling in defense of their butthurtedness, I just proceed to win and rub their faces in it. Always enjoy your threads though, jj.

Montero's ERA last year 3.58 this yr 3.00 playing at vegas where the avg for combined score for both teams is over 10 lifetime/
Montero gave up 3 runs in 6 innings his ball moves his Fastball was 93 94 a lot of his pitches sink an tail very impressive JJ has
Zero clue on talent this kid is a winner!
BTW he really only gives up 2 but Eric Young with 2 outs and the AL pitcher up next an a man on first dives for a ball he misses it rolls to the wall allowing the run to score that cant happen with 2 outs and the pitcher due up next

Jet streams are active between 20k and 50k feet

So ya, I'm guessing if you hit a ball that hard and high it will be a HR every time, Konck
