These guys are awful. I would bet that there are minor league teams with better line-ups than the Padres...
Look at the line-up... who are these scrubs and how did they get so many bad hitters on the same team?
And why is Seth Smith not in the line-up anymore?

Mets have the lowest BA lowest slugging% and most whiffs in he NL but the starting pitching has us 13-10

Mets will be the worst from start to finish.
Not even the worst hitting team in Padres history. There were a couple seasons in the early 80's that they were horrible.
Cameron Maybin is finally off the DL and in the lineup today @ the Natinals. He was on a nice run in late 2012 hitting nearly .300, which was the last time he saw a full month of action without being injured.
Maybin can't do much worse than the current Pads lineup. Time for Gyorko to get it on too and earn that $35M contract.
Their park is at sea level, it's not hot and humid, and it's the size of the Gulf of Mexico. That doesn't exactly help

No reason Kennedy can't turn in a good performance today. He's held his own this year against two of the top hitting teams COL and MIL and has historically been a better day pitcher than night. I'd be pretty surprised if the Natinals pound him.
I say he will give up 3-4 runs which is not quite a light up......

Could be Williams wanted to get an extended look at Detwiler as a candidate to replace Jordan in the rotation. Dunno, but it's worked out so far for my Pads bet.

- Venable off to a slow start, and Headley is healthy this year and should bounce back. It's April.
- Mets still have a sick farm system (Las Vegas 51s are on a tear!!), and are building for the future with Harvey, Wheeler, D'Arnaud.
Giants -1.5 might be worth a look tonight.
