    Emilio Bonaficio

Broke the MLB record with the most hits (9) in the first two games of a season.

Not just Miami, but I don't think anyone was too interested. He was only signed in March, and I think it was initially just to a minor league deal and invite. He was on the scrap heap.

He's also valuable in terms of being able to play multiple positions.

Not to be too much of a wet blanket, but Bonaficio started 2009 hitting 14 for 24 (.583)...he ended the season hitting .252.

He did hit .296 in 2011 though, so he can be a pretty good hitter.

He just made an out. 2 for 3 today.
