Mets +4500 to win NL East

Betdsi has the Mets listed at 45-1 to win the NL east. Anyone else see value in that? I know they lost Harvey but they picked up Colon and actually have a decent batting lineup.

Depends on their bullpen and if they are able to stay healthy and score enough runs.

    Their starting staff is sick

    1. Colon
    2. Niese
    3. Wheeler
    4. Gee
    5. Mejia

possibly Noah Synegard by August who is supposed to be better than Harvey. Guy has an insane
    strike out /walk ratio.

Also if they are in contention for the NL East or wild card they may have Harvey return in early September.

Mets are nowhere near a .500 team. Very weak starting rotation and below average lineup.

I'm not saying it's gonna happen, but I think 45-1 is good value

Colon will be 41 for most of the season, it's Wheeler's 2nd year and he won't improve much from last year, Niese peaked in 2012, and Gee won't be able to sustain his numbers from last year.

Niese will sustain his success and Gee is only going to get better. Gee could win 18 games this year if healthy.

Odds are nowhere near 45-1. 27-1 to win NL east on Bookmaker. 16-1 on Bovada. Way too many ifs for the Mets to come close to Atlanta OR Washington.
