Forget Biggio, the HOF vote %'s for Pizza were a disgrace.

Biggio is deserving, but he wasn't robbed harder than Piazza.
Whether he is the biggest closet-homo of all-time is irrelevant here.

THE GUY WAS A FUKKIN CATCHER!!!!! Whole career in the National League. Never got to DH and take days off.
Played 8 years in a HR unfriendly Shea Stadium.

Look at his numbers. He faded with injuries towards the end of his career but again, the guy was a CATCHER!!!

NEVER on a steroid report, never in any trouble, nicest guy, great teammate, and his career was unreal for his position.

Thumbs down to the voters on that one.

I was listening on the radio today and I did not realize people voting on the Hall of Fame now a lot of them are not even sports writers anymore there are in other professions

Now that's a disgrace they know nothing about the game

Dan Lebatard forfeited his vote this year.
I was just reading about it.
Says the voting is a joke and his 1 vote won't mean a thing for the next 20 years but doing this will at least open someone's eyes hopefully on the system.

Best hitting catcher of all time. I don't understand how he doesn't make it. Biggio, OTOH, does not belong. Nice long career, but not a HOF'er.

I actually agree with you, but I didn't want the focus to be on him and not Piazza.
Biggio massively overrated but definitely fits under the category of "Mr. Consistency".
    Good career.

Biggio and Piazza both deserve it.....

I can't stand the fact that people won't make guys unanimous as well....like who are the idiots that didn't vote Greg Maddux in? Strip them of their votes

The Washington Post does not allow anyone that works for them to vote.

Not sure how many voters but Tom Boswell said that yesterday and he is one.

He would have voted for Biggio and others.

The steroids deal has all these voters splintered with differing opinions.

Whole process is a complete mess.

Piazza , Bagwell, etc. are being blamed because they look like they could have used.

    What a joke !

Funny how nobody ever said Ripken used in regards to breaking the consecutive games played streak yet his best friend on the team was Brady Anderson who went from 10-12 homers a year to 50 .

The whole thing is a mess and needs to be blown up.

I also think both players should of made it.

Although Piazza got ripped off a slight bit more between the 2

The guy on WFAN was saying yesterday that the way the NFL decides who gets in their Hall of Fame is much better. They pretty much put everybody in a room who has a say and let them weed it out who gets in. It's like a Caucasus.

No reporters should have votes, thyme have so many grudges against certain players and also have their friends. Its very bias in lots of cases. Have a mix of ex long time players , maybe a few writers, some tv guys , some management, ect

Writers make news nowadays to get you to buy papers. They know they can have a hand in making or breaking careers. we put these guys in charge of the HOF entries? I think the number of writers voting should be limited, with HOF's, broadcasters, and former managers getting a chance to weigh in. The fact that a man like Vin Sculley does not have a voice in this is a disgrace.

Not for MOST of his career. He started there, then went to CF and then moved to 2B where he played most of the time. 14 of 20 seasons were primarily played at 2B and he bounced around between C/CF/LF/RF

Sorry, I should read the whole thread before I respond lol. Yeah biggio barely played catcher. He was too fast and stole bases and they wanted him at a more durable position for his type of offense. Obviously was a smart move, had a great and lengthy career because of it.
