    They gave no value on StL because of the zig-zag theory and the fact that there is typically a premium on the team down 0-1. The Cards opened at -110 at 5Dimes; I thought they'd be around +105-110. That doesn't mean I felt like the books were "tipping their hand." They were just a step ahead of the casual bettor who wanted to chase with StL.

    This is the goddam World Series. It's like betting on the Super Bowl. Lines are going to be sharp and get sharper because of the heavy action. You're not going to be able to read a line or get some sort of angle based on the number posted and nothing else.
