CBSSports.com Baseball Insider Jon Heyman reports that Clay Buchholz may not be able to start Game 3 of the World Series for the Red Sox as initially scheduled. Though Buchholz is contending with unspecified physical issues, according to WEEI.com, he has been included on the Red Sox's World Series roster, though he could be replaced if injured.
If Buchholz is unable to make his scheduled start, Felix Doubront will fill in. The lefty threw a simulated game Tuesday.
It's a shame baseball's best hitter with RISP has been out a month and a half. Can't really expect big things from Craig. You can't go 50 days without live pitching and pick up where you left off.
If he's able to get a couple hits it would be a huge plus for them.
