I will be hammering the sox here. with homefield advantage -135 is simply too good to pass up.

must admit i was way off with the line. i though sox would be around -110 to -120 range. -143 is crazy.

Betting against clutch Stlouis with the far superior pitching is not very wise.

DO PEOPLE WHO ARE BETTING BASEBALL EVEN WATCH IT? Cardinals are far better than the Red Sox. Cannot wait for the stats guy to start showing me stats how much better Red Sox hitting is than Cardinals. Red Sox play in the AL so every year the hitting stats are better from the AL than NL. Starting pitching Cardinals win by a mile and relievers both teams are pretty even by talent. Hitting Cardinals are the hotter team when it comes to hitting and that is all that matters. Defense who cares it is baseball you cannot predict a drop flyball or missed grounder that loses The World Series (Texas Rangers and Nelson Cruz).

    Game 1: Wainwright > Lester
Game 2: Wacha (best pitcher in this series) > Buchholz
Game 3: Kelly > Lackey (worst pitcher in this series)
Probably Game 4 starting pitchers: Lynn = Peavy

If they offer World Series MVP odds if they are large odds (10/1) take Wainwright and Wacha as World Series MVP

Not only does DoYouNotGetIT bring up some good points, but perhaps more importantly, ALLEN FUKKING CRAIG is going to be in the lineup for the world series.

I don't think people realize how important this is. Did you realize/remember that he dominated in the 2011 world series, and would have won WORLD SERIES MVP had David Freese not gone ape shit in game 6?

Do you not realize that ALLEN FUKKING CRAIG is hitting .454 with runners in scoring position this year? Do you not realize that is THE THIRD BEST OF ALL FUKKING TIME IN THE HISTORY OF THE GAME?

So, the team that tied for the best record in baseball without Craig down the stretch, who beat two teams many favored to make the series in the Pirates (riding the wild card momentum that's carried multiple teams to the WS in the past decade) and the Dodgers (favored by many on paper before the season even started, and favored over the Cards before the series), this team who accomplished all this now gets arguably their most IMPORTANT and dangerous hitter back in the lineup?

Do many of you also realize that Matheny who now coaches the Cards, was in his last year as a player, starting at Catcher for the Cards in 2004 when they lost to the Sox? Do you not think that Matheny has been fukking ACHING for a chance to help avenge that beatdown from his last year in the bigs? Do you think he's not mentally prepared and focused to strategically put his team in a position to win every game in this series?

Does ANYONE think the Cards are going to get blown out again? If so, you haven't been paying attention.

Some good stuff in posts numbers 19 and 20!!! I like Sox so now you have me rethinking this series bet i was going to place. I will say this about STL great pitching though. How about DET great pitching? Seriously Det was 1st if not 2nd best pitching in this playoffs. Bost rallied to over come those pitchers who had lights out vs SOX!!!

Boston is a really good team.

It depends on if the young arms in St. Louis handle the pressure. They've done great so far but this is the World Series.

Craig being back is huge. Wacha and Wainwright incredible in the postseason. Cardinals lineup from top to bottom is just better. I'll take +money all day. Cards in 5
