    Was Ramirez on the Bag?

Seemed to me like he was clearly off, wish baseball allowed some sort of review for plays like that.

it wasnt even close. only an umpire with balls will make that call. remember its the "code of baseball" that you give the neighborhood play 'especially to a seasoned veteran". now you throw in the thug dodgers fans and that ump would have been no doubt fearing for his life. if they try and kill fellow fans imagine what they would do to an ump who would make a call like that.

If they were going to enforce being in contact with the bag they would also have to enforce being out of the base path, which runners abuse with impunity. Open up a new can of worms and all you get is more controversy. It is what it is, let it be.

It's been explained time and time again. It's a play that will always be called the way it was. These guys make way too much money for their ankles to get shattered in a play that happens several times a game
