what a HORRIFIC series Jon Jay has played so far.

i'd bench his ass. he's so lucky he didn't cost them Game 1 as well.

Jay has made a couple of a critical errors in the field though, won't get that with Jackson. both suck.

    Is it possible he's tanking?
Can anyone post those first 2 Dodger hits?
99% of CF's those are both outs there.
Or is he just that bad?
Looked shady. Was going to hammer cards glad I passed I'd be fuming right now.

also the route he took to the ball in extra innings in Game 1 was absolutely head scratching that ended up in a double or triple i think.....was a routine single...ball ended up at the wall..

and in Game 1, 8th inning he had runners on couldnt get a bunt down...then in the 9th had a chance for a walk off, struck out.

I dunno if I've ever seen anything like this before.
I'm sorry, I know there are lots of scandals we never know about in sports, but I would seriously take a look at what went on with him in Game 1 and game 3 now.
His plays are wayyyyy too shady.
    He's NOT hurt.
I admit when I say out loud I think it's possible he's on a payroll here it sounds dumb, but his plays have been super-suspect to me.
Players have bad games, but his have been beyond bad.
It was like every ball hit towards him he went out of his way to dog it, and fukk it up. He looked like a bush-league softball player out there in co-ed division.
Can anyone post the 4 plays from game 3 and the play from game 1 in here?
I don't know how to get that footage.

Its beyond me that Leyland and Matheny keep Jackson and Jay in the lineup! Obviously these guys aren't ready for the bigtime, and are literally sh!tting down their legs everytime they get in the box. I understand they are likely the best CF'ers on the rosters, but come on, give up a little defense for someone who can handle the spotlight. It's getting ridiculous watching these guys choke AB after AB

I don't know....give Adron Chambers a shot. Probably more athletic then Jay, I have no idea what his arm is like, but Jay doesn't have a cannon. Small big league sample size, but has hit .277, .319 and .252 the last 3 years in AAA.

How about put Torii Hunter in CF, which he is still more then capable of playing.......and put Tuiasosopo in LF or RF. Kid has 7 HR and 30 RBI in 164 AB's this year, which is pretty productive. At least maybe some balls will get put in play.

I'm suggesting this because both teams need some fresh blood out there. Jackson and Jay are defeated before they even step in the box. Why continue with the 0-4's and 0-5's, when possibly Chambers or Tuiasosopo can give a spark!

seriously..lets really throw panic into the locker room..

you are up 2-1...not down 1-2

ok...say you play into this ridiculous theory...

then what happens if you need pinch hitter late in a huge ball game, that is in huge spot, need a base hit to take the lead or a tie a game.

your going to go to Jon Jay or Austin Jackson off the bench? whos confidence, that has just been completely destroyed #1 by their play #2 their manager showing no faith in them by benching them.

not a good idea all around.

I was at the game last night, he looked absolutely clueless out there. I bet Matt Holliday was stoked all the attention wasn't on him in the outfield. Never forget him getting hit in the nuts playing left field allowing the Dodgers to win that playoff game.

Whats wrong with the message? It tells Jackson if he doesnt shorten up and put a ball in play, he will sit on the bench....which in all honesty should be the case....its embarassing!

And InTheDrink....your theory works for St. Louie who is up 2-1.....Detroit it tied 1-1.....make a move?

It's pretty bad though man, routine catch. I don't like losing but HATE when some player makes an abhorrent play that ends up costing you.

My worst beat of all time was having the under of a spurs/trailblazers game a few seasons ago. Was under the spread by 20 with 58.6 seconds left. Both teams scored 21 points in 53 seconds. It was amazing.

To answer your question.....NO, you don't go to Jay or Jackson off the bench....why would you? These are the two worst offensive performers right now? Why would you hand over a big AB to either of these guys. Both teams have benches....use them. I'm so sick of the "ohhh, were gonna use this guy, he's been our guy all year" That's such BS.......play with who gives you the best chance to win today, not what he did for you in June.

this is the national league pal...double switches are made constantly ( in Jays case)....he would have to come off the bench at some point and would find himself in a big spot. which would be a bigger disaster.
