    MLB home run question

Lets use the current scenario, if the Red Soxs has 1 base filled on the bottom on the 9th while tied and a hitter hits a home run, does it count as 2 points or just 1 to win the game?

    Zero points, but two runs.

Two Runs only if the hitter makes it around to touch home plate. If he is mobbed before hand he is given the base he stops at. I remember this happening one time to Robin Ventura where he got a double instead of a home run.

Hate to knit pick but Ventura got single and it should have been a grand slam but it only counted as a single and 1 run scored. By the way that actually screwed people who had the over and helped people who had the under which must have made for an amazing scene in Vegas betting rooms. Over people celebrate thinking they covered then all of a sudden nope it only counts as one run.
