    Runaway Favorite 10/9/13: Pirates @ Cardinals

    TABLE TALK
    With the series tied 2-2 and the loser facing elimination, this should be an exciting matchup. Both teams will have plenty of help on the mound. Gerrit Cole is essentially guaranteed to go six innings for the Pirates. He held the Cards to two hits in game 2, and I expect him to do more of the same. On the flip side, Wainwright is likewise guaranteed for seven innings for the Cardinals. He limited the Pirates to three hits on nine strikeouts in game 1. I think the Cardinals win this one. Wainwright is too strong, and the Cardinals are 54-27 at home this season. The odds are in their favor.
