    Preseason Trivia - Feb 9

Last year in the major leagues, three southpaws recorded 30 or more saves: Brian Fuentes (30) and Billy Wagner (40) in the National League and BJ Ryan (38) in the American League.

Who was the first left-hander to have a 30+ save season in the majors?

Perranoski it is. The former Spartans lefty had 31 saves for the Twins in 1969 (first year the stat was 'official') and followed that up with 34 for Minnesota in 1970.
