Harvey shut down for the year Torn UCL...probably Tommy John surgery

Sucks to be a Mets fan unrealDone for the year torn UCL he may have Tommy John unless they decide to try to let it heal without surgery (which takes a long time)

Figured. The start prior to yesterday's showed an alarming 3 mph drop in velocity. Over one start that always screams DL. Seen it three times this year, Harvey, Colon and Deduno. Deduno missed a start with biceps tendinitis and the other two are now out.

Pays to track velocity in August. Dead arms and injuries.

Not really, they babied their guy and he still got hurt. Pitch counts and innings limits haven't been proven to prevent injuries.

hopefully he'll be the same pitcher after the surgery. gotta think surgery is the right option considering how young he is.

He will have to go the way on the knife best case rehab is it becomes better he pitches again it blows out completely in a yr or 2. Has to go the Tommy John rout man very sad. Not only for Mets fans but fans of the game.
