    The height of the steroid era was 1994-2004 when 16 times players reached .700 slugging pct. a feat before reserved only for the all-time greats Ruth, Gehrig, Foxx, & Williams were the only one who did this multiple times & guys like Mantle, Musial, Wilson & Simmons
    were the others who reached .700 once. Mays, Aaron & DiMaggio never reached .700. The steroid era was really a time of video game stats just ridiculous.

    The game is trying to clean itself up & apparently is doing so. Of all those recently suspended, 15 or so, only one is not from the Dominican Republic where these drugs are not frowned upon & easily acessible. Cabrera though latino is from Venezuela not the DR.

    People stating they know Cabrera is using are really seeing 'dragons appearing in the field' though the stats from 94 to 04 are tainted
    & none of those guys will make the Hall, my guess is Cabrera is clean and not a user. From his first season he's been a high average power hitter & if Ruth & some of his era players reached .700 slugging it makes sense that someone in this era can do it clean also.
    Even though he's havong his best season this year his slugging has to improve just a little to reach .700 he's around ,696 at alst count.
