yeah but ryan howard is a first baseman, who are known to age well, that gets those rbi. so what if he has a bad platoon split.
nothing prevent them for trading utley and resigning him in free agency. if he really still wanted to be a philly, it would make sense for the player to understand the advantage of making a trade to have a better player to play with in the next year or two. if the phillies made that argument and he turned it down. he doesn't care about winning.
