Can you explain how you come up with your MOJO rating? My idea would be that the Mojo ratings would be flipped for the Pirates and Nats cause how they have performed the past week.

The nats sent out their Ace last night and he pitched very well but they still lost. The only person that has shown any sort of life in the batters box for the Nats has been Jayson Werth. The Nats are almost flat-lining this year.

The Natinals are last in MLB in hitting lefties with a dismal .212 average and faced a tough, resurgent lefty in Liriano Wednesday night. The result wasn't a big surprise. Not to mention Desmond and Harper were both out; they could be back to day though neither has had success vs. Burnett.

Washington should fare better today but could still be a close game if they can't hit Burnett. AJ does have a strong day game record over the past two years. 2.87 1.19 and .217 for 2013. His day performances are actually better, though not by a lot, than Gio's for 2012-13 from an ERA perspective.

I'm leaning hard on WAS given the 10-hit drubbbing AJ took his last outing at Cincy... portending another FAIL and his usual mid-season swoon... but this could be a tight contest. Might pass if Harper and Desmond are out again, or Werth sits...
