Two years into that contract, he didn't give a damn about anything, but his ranch. I was surprised anyone traded for him, particularly the Marlins.

It's because Juan was(and still is) bitter and heartbroken about the Rangers trading him. I know he was a roider but it was that trade to the Tigers that ruined/derailed his career IMO.

Rangers want to elect him to the Rangers Hall of Fame, and wanted to do it alongside Pudge this year, but he won't do it, refuses to accept the honor because he still feels backstabbed by the trade.

pujols ... never thought I'd even think this but im not sure hes going to break outta this nonsense. One of the greatest pure hitters ive ever seen is a guy I hate having at the plate with risp... we all new that contract length was a bad idea but wanted him here sooooo bad. but this contract will go down as one of the worst.

CC for sure. Guy is an absolute work horse and has won them a World Series. As far as Verlander as good as he has been in the regular season he still lacks a championship to show for it all. Also the Price Fielder signing for Detroit was another great one. Great idea to pair him with Miggy.

best in semi recent history is vlad guerrero to the angels....which is also probably part of what spurred all of these shitty deals theyve given out

From having to watch his garbage first hand, I'm biased against Wells.

Verlander just signed big money and this year is far from a Verlander year last 13 starts past the 7 inning 2 times all 3 times gives up runs last 13 starts has held a team under 3 runs onceLets watch and see how well spent that money is.

i think they were referencing a big FA signing where a guye changes teams

think about it....they're almost never worth the money...it's actually sorta shocking how bad it tends to turn out

The way Wells is hitting, there paying him 12.5 million a year to hit about .112 average. Or .056 average for 6.25 mill at the plate. Yikes. Plus his arm sucks in the field.

BJ Upton Voted ESPN's least valuable player. These numbers are a laugher...

But we know this: They sure didn't think they were buying a fellow who was about to go out and … hit .177, the lowest batting average by any qualifying major league regular so far this year … slug .300, the sixth-lowest slugging percentage by any qualifying major league regular (lower than Adeiny Hechavarria,Jose Altuve and Ben "Never Homered In My Career" Revere!) … hit .164/.235/.233 against left-handed pitching … hit .103, with a .176 slugging percentage, with runners in scoring position … go 0-for-the-season (0-for-21) with runners on third base … go 1-for-38 (.026) with runners in scoring position and two outs … go 51 consecutive games without stealing a base in one stretch (and 33 games in a row without even attempting to steal a base) … and rack up a defensive rating in center field of minus-three runs saved.
