How the hell does one stay disciplined to wager only 1-2% of their BankRoll day in and day out? And to think that some folks pass on wagers for an entire day. Now I'm not a complete jerkstore, so I understand how there is value in stepping away. Really though, how do I get me some of that kool-aid to not want to off myself from lack of sticking it to the book?
So I set aside 10K, and you want me to place wagers in amounts of $100-200?
Talk about watching paint dry. Fuk me. Adrenaline is hard to come by when I click Submit on a $200 wager and my remaining balance says $9800. And we call that grinding? Yikes, that spells yawn to me. That $9800 is begging to be doubled, to get into play. It craves action. Sometimes I will wager on an extravagant favorite just so my roll is out of reach. Can anybody relate?
Any veteran advice or good book recommendations for how to develop this discipline?
Seriously.

Here is a quote from a sick gambling movie...
at the end, after he crashes and burns. And gives up gambling.
shrink: How do you rate the thrill you got from gambling on a scale of one to a hundred?
player: (long pause) Mmmmmmm a hundred
shrink: What about the biggest thrill you've ever got outside of gambling?
player: (long pause) Twenty
shrink: Twenty?... how do you feel about living the rest of your life with a max of twenty?
player: (long pause) Ok..... twenty's ok
May all your plays be winners.
