Who is the best MLN reliever that isn't a closer?

OOPS. MLB reliever obviously not MLN dammit lol.

From what I've watched this year it's hands down the Rosenthal kid on the Cards.
Outstanding stuff. Fukking guy has an 89MPH change-up. He's fearless.
Definitely the closer of the future for this team OR possibly a starter in my opinion.

I don't know if anyone else that isn't a closer can touch this guy.

Kind of reminds me of Kyle Farnsworth when he first came up. Guy had such nasty stuff but could never get it together. I hope Rosenthal ends up in better shape than Kyle.

Who you guys like? Or do you agree with me?

Before his most recent surgery, I would have said Jonny Venters of the Braves.

Melancon was a penetrating rock with Houston, hated when we traded that guy as much as Pence or Bourn. Reliever who won 8 games for the 2011 Astros, that has to tell you something right there.

Sam Lecure Red is a great set up man has lots of holds but first time they stuck him in there to save he gives up his first run in 10 games lol. Maybe a Parnell Jr

David Hernandez is solid for the Dbacks and could easily close.

Yeah, it tells you they HAD to let him go lol. They don't like good players in Houston.

Nah Imma disagree with you on this one Nino which is rare. He's had opps to close with Balt and Ariz and failed. Very streaky pitcher. Pretty sure he had a good year last year though and this year so far, but he used to be a meatballer and I wouldn't want him on my team for the 8-9 innings.

Agree with Melancon but def not Jansen. Guy has stuff but he can't get it together. Very inconsistent. I've been fortunate to be on the winning side of his choke the last couple years so he sticks out for me.
    Crain is def solid.

Might be the first thing I've ever seen you say I disagree with nasher. That bullpen is garbage and will blowup miserably soon. Perez is an overrated headcase and the biggest tilt-closer of all time. He sucks. Even his numbers suck I'm pretty sure.
The only decent guy is Pestano. Rest of them are junk. No way they keep good numbers up for the whole year.

Melancon not as sharp these days

Relievers are a dime a dozen, and its very rare that they are good for more than 1-2 years before having a sucky year.

    lot of luck involved.

I've said it before, but it bears repeating.... If I'm the Pirates' Gm i'm trying to unload Grilli and Melancon NOW

Yeah, I mean Putz has pretty much been the closer in AZ since Hernandez has been here. Also, Hernandez did have more blown saves (6) than saves (4) when he had the opportunity in 2012. He has pretty much been the 8th inning guy though. He was an outstanding 8th inning setup man last season. Stats are posted below...98 K's in 68.1 innings, 25 Holds, and a WAR of 1.7 which is pretty sick for an 8th inning guy.

This year, with the addition of fat fukk Heath Bell, they would sort of alternate throwing Bell and Hernandez in for the 8th with Zeigler taking the 7th if needed. With Putz hurt, Bell took the closer roll and Hernandez is back as the 8th inning man.

Wow his K's were sick last year. I think I just remember him dogging 3 or 4 games last year for me, I knew he turned it around after leaving Balt.
Don't think his stuff comes anywhere close to Rosenthal's though. They aren't even on the same planet IMO.

Rosenthal's #'s are ridiculous. No way he maintains that for a season.
