    Playing the losers of the 1st game of a doubleheader in game 2..

    As been working very well all year, including yesterday with the Tigers.

    2009 has seen 6 of 11 doubleheaders swept. 2 of 6 been road sweeps.
    13 of 25 swept in 2008. 7 of 13 were by road team.
    Never bother going any farther back.

    You can check back a few more years on that site.
    You can see 6 of the last 9 DH have been sweeps.
    On the plus side the majority of the sweeps seem to be done by favorite. Comparing the ESPN list of doubleheaders to the odds on from covers might show some trends.

    Having said that;
    I am on the Cubs for game 2. I can't seem them getting beat two games in a day by the lowly Pirates.
    Regardless of who wins the Clev/CWS game one, it won't effect my no play for game two.
