Point me in the direction of these reports.

Last I heard is that he wants to be a starter again, but is still far away from ever returning. The Cardinals are the last team that needs another starter in the rotation. The LAstros are another story.

He is a warrior out there on the mound. I dont know how anybody could not like him. Total class act. Very tough guy and he competes like a maniac.

i havent seen the reports on paper but the announcer doing the Cardinals broadcast last night were discussing him. Apparently he has impressed his teammates with the type of stuff he's had in his bullpens but he will do 2 or 3 more bullpen sessions and then do a rehab assignment.

So were probably looking at his return in mid to late June if things go as planned.

They will bring him back slowly and limit his pitch count at first but he should be in tip top shape for the playoffs.

I read that Carpenter was conditioning to be a starter again, but I haven't read a single article that has said he looks better than ever. He only just threw 30 pitches in a bullpen session Wednesday, so I don't know who could've conjured up that he looks better than ever, lol.

    y is he a cawksucker?

he is a warrior out there on the mound. Nobody can question his clutchness, competitiveness, and love for the game. If he wasnt passionate about this game he would have already retired.

He's already rich and hes got what 3 world series rings??? or is it 2?

I cant think of a better big game pitcher.

This has been all the talk in STL the past week. A lot of what I've heard is coming out of the pen and helping the team 'in any way possible'. Of course, if the Cards make the playoffs there's no way he doesn't start a game.

well he did get shellacked by the giants in the nlcs last year but that's besides the point....just like all of your points having nothing to do with him being a cawksucker

the gueye is a contradictory self righteous prick....everyone he faces has to follow his version of the unwritten rules of baseball except him

They do like playing for him. He's not far removed from being a player himself, was never a star so he doesn't have that persona, and took a lot from LaRussa.

Carp's just a cranky old veteran who's a little OCD at times. Not a clubhouse cancer or anything like that.

It seems like the young players like playing for Matheny more than they did LaRussa. There was always some issue involving a rook or 2nd year player who didn't get along with LaRussa. Of course when you win people tend to get along more.

Hope Carp doesn't rush back to fast. He's an old man and cards have a wealth of pitching right now. Their minor league system is loaded with pitching as well.

But you can never have to much pitching.
