Is the Astros rotation the worst of all time?

    1. Lucas Harrell 2-2, 4.08 ERA, 1.57 WHIP
    2. Bud Norris, 3-2, 4.13 ERA, 1.58 WHIP
    3. Phillip Humber, 0-5, 7.99 ERA, 1.82 WHIP
    4. Brad Peacock, 1-3, 8.44 ERA, 1.83 WHIP
    5. Erik Bedard, 0-2, 7.98 ERA, 1.77 WHIP

Harrell and Norris might be 5th starters on other teams at best, and the other 3 are just awful.

Makes it easy to buy $5 tickets and move down to the best seats in the stadium.

Honestly as a Rangers fan I miss those days. Back in the 2000s I could buy a $5 nosebleed ticket then move down to behind home plate just about every game unless the Yankees or Red Sox were playing there. I also could buy Opening Day tickets on Opening Day at the box office. But with all the bandwagon fans now those days are long gone. I attended so many Rangers games from 2005-2008, back when no one wanted to go. Now it's a big mess, tickets are more expensive and since attendance is so good traffic/parking is a mess also.

Exact reason I love going to Columbus Blue Jackets games....NHL for pennies and you can sit almost wherever unless Chi or Detroit is in town.....better than having a good team IMO LOL

I went to every opening day from 1993-2010... haven't been able to go since because you either have to buy a season ticket package to get an opening day ticket, win a lottery, or buy them for ridiculous prices off the 3rd party market. It sucks. It's kind of like that with the Stars now but Stars tickets are still pretty expensive and I don't live right next to the arena like I do with Rangers Ballpark.

Because the 27th batter was too busy b1tching about a strike call when he could've ran on a past strike 3.

1996 Tigers - while some will remember the 2003 tigers that lost 119 games. In 2003 the Tigers starters didn't have the worst ERA in baseball (the rangers and reds were both worse). The 1996 Tigers starters posted a 6.64 ERA (worse than the 6.44 the Astros currently have).

After Felipe Lira (5.22) and Omar Oliveres (4.89) the rotation got 42 starts from a rotation of pitchers who all poster ERAs over 9 led By Todd Van Poppel who posted an ERA 11.39 and a FiP of 8.80

Really between 1994-2005 the Tigers had habitually the worst rotations. The Lastros are really bad though.

Of the 17 pitchers who started a game for the Royals in 2006, only one (Adam Bernero, who started twice) had an ERA below 5.00. The 2006 club finished dead last in the AL in every single pitching category except homers, where they finished 13th out of 14 clubs.

If you look at just the starts, Luke Hudson posted a 4.79 ERA in his 15s and Duckworth posted 4.85 in his nine. and in fairness they did finish 14th in HR/9 innings
