Well I'll be damned. He had a great season but I really thought they would give it to Jeter or Ortiz. Not because they are more deserving but just because. That's what most of the talking heads I saw seemed to be saying anyway.

    Glad everyone was wrong.

    Fine Canadian lad!

I almost fell out of my chair when I heard about this. He deserves it, but like Mudcat said, I thought one of those east coast guys would have won it.

Has a good ring to it...I'm sure that if any game is tied after 9 innings, he'll institute a shootout rule.

And he'll fine anyone and everyone who doesn't go all out on every damn play! That boy was feerless with his body when I saw him play a minor league game once.

The writers finally got something right for once.

This guy no doubt about it definately deserved it. This guy carried the Twins to that AL Central division crown, and i'm glad to see him be rewarded for that fact.

So now the reigning AL MVP is Canadian; the reigning NHL MVP (Joe Thornton) is Canadian and the reigning NBA MVP(Steve Nash) is Canadian.

And for the NFL here comes . . . . . . mmm, ferget it. We don't want the NFL MVP anyway.

Back in earlyJune, Morneau was something like .235, 10hr,
40rbis and the Gardster sat him down for a talk. After that talk, Morneau went something like .360, 25hr and over 90rbis.
What did Gardenhire say? According to Morneau, his manager
'helped me realize that I can be better than I was.' I remember Favre said Holmgren had done that at the right time in his career. That's when coaching's at its best.

    Well deserved.

Im just glad they didnt give it to Jeter or Ortiz, "just because". Screw the Yankees and Red Sox.

    Good going Justin.

    Morneau definately deserves it.
Glad to see Jeter not get it.
Even though I'm a Red Sox and huge Ortiz fan I still don't want to see a DH win MVP.
