Kevin Youkilis is officially a Yankee!

Signed a 1-Year/$12M Deal with the Yankees, according to FOX Ken Rosenthal

Where is Giradi going to put him in the lineup? Any thought?

3rd base...A-Rod is going to miss half the season...and I'm sure when he comes back he will be the DH for the most part.

Another aging player on a team already loaded with them... Embarrasing the direction this team is headed in... He is nowhere near the player he was in boston.. Nice job cash....

Red Sox fan, and a big Youkilis fan...and I have no issues with this signing. After the way the Red Sox disrespected him publicly, I can't blame him for wanting to stick it to the organization.

The fact that he's well past his prime, and will likely hit .260 with a low OBP and not much power doesn't hurt. Five years ago the Yankees would have had the best starter / backup at 3B with these two...now they'll just be lucky to field an average third baseman while paying them a combined $37M.
