Cant believe people think this a good deal for the jays

Reyes sucks and will get injured for months
JJ was dogshit this year and will get cranked in the AL east

Jays getting screwed big time here. Good luck with all that dead salary.

    Rich boy,

Jays fans are happy they opened up the bank and spent some fukin money.

Getting these guys is better than doing nothing like they usually do.

I love this trade and it makes the jays better .

I agree that the Jays are being aggressive and actually spending some money for once

But I dont think this makes them much better for the salary. If a team is willing to literally dump these players for next to nothing, that should be a big red flag

These two players have potential but you have to HOPE that they produce. Not like picking up Joey Votto where you know for sure you got a stud player that will produce consistently. This trade COULD work out for the jays, but if it doesnt they are fkn screwed (which is my prediction)

Free agents aren't coming to Toronto.

    This was the only way.

It might not work out but its worth a fukin shot.

It's only money and jays ownership got lots.

This is actually not that bad of a deal for the Jays for several reasons:

    1) The Jays already have consistent run producers in Bautista and Encarncion. With those proven bats, Reyes should be able to easily score over 100 runs and create havoc with his speed. If healthy for an entire season, Reyes could really impact the Jays positively. Motivation might be a factor

    2) The AL East is very overrated right now. The Yankees are OLD and are living off mystique. The Orioles will be a ? mark to see if they can continue the upward play and Boston is a mess.

    3) Josh Johnson is a stud; if he can regain full health, I'd take the chance on him to be a stud pitcher again.

It might not turn out well, but the Jays needed some sort of life in the team and this could do it.
