looks like a solid team. I love the Blue Jays too. Its by far by my favorite MLB team but i have hard time every year being a fan after they fall out of contention. I think this club can compete now.

"IF" and "ONLY IF" Romero pulls his head out of his ass and stops pitching like a lil bitch, and Morrow needs to man up and stop getting injured.

If they stay healthy they are legit world series contender.

btw, i'm not a huge fan of Colby Rasmus. If I were the Jays i would trade him for a relief pitcher.

Sounds good on paper but this lineup is incredibly lacking.

you know this might sound crazy but i dont think Bonafocio should be the guy hitting in front of Bautista. Emilio relies way to much on infield hits and his speed. I think the Jays would get the most production, hitting Bonofocio lead off and Reyes in 2 hole in front of Bautista. Reyes is a great fastball hitter and he will see plenty of them hitting if front of Bautista, considering they will not want to walk Reyes, as he is a beast on that base paths. there was a stat in his last year with the mets that when he got on base he came around to score at insane percentage. i forget exactly what it was but it was through the roof.

and of course Jose has worked very hard on being patient an raising his OBP by drawing walks. so if he does draw the walk u got the chance for Bautista 2 run bomb

well the Marlins and Angels made big signings last year and neither made the playoffs. Neither did stacked teams like the Phillies or Dodgers, but at least the Jays are trying

I would set lineup like this...

    Reyes
    Bonifacio
    Lind
    Bautista
    Ecarnacion
    Rasmus
    Lawrie
    Arencibia
    Davis

Need a Lefty behind speedsters to take advantage of hole at first, plus you don't want Bautista worrying about taking pitches or any of that nonsense...

I think we are all in agreement they need to add some quality arms to their bullpen. But as far as their starters they are more than capable.

"capable" being the key word. Yes Romero had an awful year. But remember Cole Hamels went through a funk too and now he is an ace again.

Buerhle is solid always stays healthy and will eat innings. Morrow has filthy stuff but gotta keep him healthy. Josh Johnson has ace stuff too but again gotta keep him healthy, Romero had a bad year but has shown he has ace stuff in the past, and JA Happ had great season this year and is an up and coming pitcher...

BTW whatever happened to Kyle Drabek?

Drabek will be a nice mid-season addition.
