For today's action I like a couple of games. I will be riding the hot wood and hopefully the teams have carry-over effects working in their favor.
Red Leggins' -105
Marlins+120
Pale Hose-110
Mariners+160
I will have a few early morning engagements, so I won't be able to give a detailed write up for these games, but most who read this thread know what I look for in a game as I make it clear.
The Reds picked up 15 hits last night and they will need all of them to beat the Wahoos. Sowers had no business being favored over Harang to begin with. False favorite here. The Red Leggins' get it done.
The Marlins are hot as shit and will hit the town ready to do battle with the inter-state rival Rays. Johnson is the big gun and he is awesome with a 1.00 WHIP over his last three performances. With an offense like that backing him and also picking up an EXTRA bat due to the game being played in a American League park, all the advantages are with the Marlins.
Contreas is just sick ater getting recalled after a brief farm stint to work out the kinks. He has a 0.68 WHIP over his last 3 performances, and that is the definition of being in good form. The Pale Hose have hot bats to back him and a winning attitude at home. Wells is good, but I doubt that he can throw the ball past the Pales in this matchup. Besides the Cubs suck in day games and the Pale Hose hate it that they get all of the attention in the city despite being the inferior club.
When I did the homework for this game, I was taken aback by all of the advantages that Seattle has in this game yet they are listed as a huge dog. The Dodgers don't have theedge in ANYTHING including starting pitcher WHIP. The M's have HEAVY advantages in batting average (.343 to .217)and slugging% (.571 to .322) over the last three games coming nto this one. Their bullpen is even performing better. I am gonna have to get me some of those crumbs!
As always, good luck gentlemen.
