Made a great and articulate argument that since A-Rod announced that he used steroids AFTER he signed the contract with the Yankees, that he, in fact, committed misrepresentation and that the Yankees, can legally (and should) get out of this horrible contract.

I would argue that even if the Yankees could have rescinded his contract after the steroids admission (I doubt it, but let's assume they could have) that the doctrine of estoppel by silence would apply now and it would be too late that this point to assert that right. Why should the Yankees be able to get out of it now that he's doing poorly. If they had a right then they had it years ago (can't recall exactly when the admission was) and by waiting until he started performing poorly they put him at an unfair disadvantage.

It's a pretty clear argument the Yankees thought they were getting one player and instead got another.

No. He was and is in the middle of a long (10 year) contract. If they had an out and wanted to take it they should have done it in short order. They didn't because they either chose not to or weren't legally able to. Either way, the time has past.
