Stupid. They are spent. Dont even wanna be in the playoffs right now. Personally I think Arod is a cancer to that team, but that is opinion not factual stuff.

they may be spent considering the energy they put into battling with O's down the stretch in reg season

Yet and still they do have the experience and seem to be one of the best at coming back in a game when trailing (8th or 9th inning)

but I believe you and am not touching it

Maybe if they had Jeter... and Verlander didn't have 2 starts left

I would forget the 5/1 on the series price for NYY. However, the biggest game for NY is tomorrow (game 3). Looks like Verlander faced NY twice this year and is 1-1. Hughes also faced Detroit this year and is 1-1. Last outing was spectacular for Verlander so I'm thinking it'll be tough for him to repeat that performance. Last outing for Hughes was a 2-1 loss against Baltimore so he had a decent line from that game also. With the must win scenario for NYY and thinking Verlander might be a little off, not to mention the public will pound Verlander hard, I'm leaning towards NY in this spot and the + money. My only concern is the NYY bats have been quiet thus far and this might not be the best spot for them to wake up. Good luck in your plays.

They are down 2-0 and Verlander hasn't even been on the mound yet. I'll be very surprised if they win 1 game this series. They will be down 3-0 tomorrow after Verlander pitches, they will most likely win game 4, but than it's done

CC takes game 4 and girardi hopes for home field advantage coming back.

Detroit will out pitch them at Comerica
Detroit will out slug them at Comerica.

What a sad ending to the Yankees season.

Ok I don't think the Yankees will come back and win the series by any means, but I hear so many people saying "no hitting," and "hitting is dead." The Yankees were 2nd the in the league in runs this year and 1st in Slugging, and they have dealt with injuries all year. Just because Jeter went down does not mean the Yankees' bats are dead. I can't understand why their bats have been so stagnant in the postseason, but this is still the same team that put up real good numbers in the regular season.
