Coke did good. Really bothered me how he walked around like he was super buff or something, though. Dude, you're fat. Nobody is buying it.

You act surprised? Tigers have best starting pitching. That's what wins in playoffs.

st louis and SF have been down many times.... yet they find a way to come back. Tigers thus far, havnt been that clutch yet.

They don't need a traditional closer. I'd much rather see them play the match ups with Benoit, dotel, alberquerque, coke. I wouldn't be surprised if Leyland still uses valverde quite a bit though.

of course they can and they will, they have the best starting pitchers and they all hit well, the only concern of course is relief pitchers, but coke is getting there and he can close games now

if we being totally honest brother unless carp somehow gets himself into mid/post season form really quickly (hard thing to do considering he just starting pitching again the last few weeks) i dont think stl starters can get thru tigers lineup very often,,,,then again you guys pen is a little shaky and cards have been known to win some ws games in the late innings ...lineups are close, with carp and waino not where they need to be obviously det has the adv with sp, pen adv cards, championship pedigree cards, intangibles cards,,, should be a fun series but i would think det would be the favorite....

Tigers starters have been clutch but can you really rely on infante, laird/avila, and dirks? I'm from Detroit and thought they would lose to the yankees so I could be wrong. I think the Tigers are just happy to be there and playing competitively is a different story. Cardinals have experience and that's a huge factor this late in the year.

Tigers are still only -135 to win...that sure looks good.

Probably even drop more once Cards finish off the series.

    thats what im thinking also

no doubting fielder and cabrera and jackson but cards have a better lineup thru and thru

tigers will inevitably lose a game or 2 due to bullpen but i think itll be a close 6-7 game series no matter who wins
